Iting Ley

Piano, violin, guitar and vocals

Iting was born in Keelung, Taiwan. At the age of 6 she started playing the piano and a year later she learned violin. Within 9 years she already showed her talent on the stage and she has been honored with the first prize in the piano competition in Hsinchu City several times. During her school years she accompanied the school choir on the piano for several years. At 16, she conducts the School brass orchestra. While studying at National Taiwan University, she sang as a soprano in the choir of the University and played the first violin in the uni-internal orchestra.

In 2001, she came as a student at the Humboldt University in Berlin.  With the growing interest in addition to the classical music, on the world music from Africa and Latin america. She works with many musicians from different cultures and she brought her own idea of the music in the world. Iting  beliefs  music is the universal language, because “you do not speak it from the mouth but from the heart!”

Since Iting has successfully completed her studies, she works as a freelance musician and music teacher. She teaches piano, violin, guitar and vocals, showing her pupils diversity in music world and expressing her passion. Since 2009 she has worked as music teacher for Global New Generation.
